Go with the cateye W/L
if u have front shocks
Cause the wired comp
i find are messy to me
and if the wire breaks
thats the end of it and
depends on how neatly
u can set it up as well
I am buying the cateye
W/L mainly for price
and good quality and
the easy set up. as for
Colourfulness i dont
know until i get it but
i reckon its ur best bet
Go to Walmart and get a $10 Schwinn bike computer. They record down to the 1/1000 of a mile and are very accurate. It has auto start and shut down and the wheel input is in mm so it’s very accurate.
If you WANT wireless go with the Cateye. I own 3 and find them easy to use, clear to read, easy on batteries, but not colorful. Monotone.
The Schwinn at Wal-Mart is by far the least expensive, but it is wired. That said — A wired computer with it’s wire run with a bit of care, is just as clean as a wireless unit.
On my wired unit I run the wire on the inside of the fork, being careful to get the wire straight to lay flat. I run a strip of tape over the wire using plain scotch tape over a CLEAN fork. I have never had it fail. I change it once a year because it does get dirty (the tape that is). Leave a little slack at the top of the fork for side to side movement, then again making sure the wire isn’t twisted, coil it carefully around the front brake cable housing up to the handle bar. If your cable housing is black no one can see it from 10 feet away.
So is "best" the most expensive, most trick unit — or — is "best" the simplest, least expensive? You decide.
im 14 too, it would help if siad what type of bike you have, if it is a road bike then i would get one that also shows ur cadence.if its a mountain bike like mine you dont need that. i would go with the wireless one, i have a cannondale one on my bike and i would reccomend it
hope this helps,good luck
