I don’t know what your having trouble with, but my suggestion for the first thing to try, move the sensor closer to the magnet. You want them to be as close to each other as you can make them without them touching.
If that doesnt work, try replacing batteries…if not that, take it back!

I have a sigma, not a bell, but they should be very similar.
1st, make sure you push one of the buttons on the computer. It will then be awake and ready for the pulse signal from the sensor.
Next things to check are sensor, transmitter, receiver in that order.
Check that the magnet/ sensor are close to each other as the pass. That way it will create a signal to send. Read the manual carefully and check the back of all the units carefully. Sometimes there are alignment issues.
Check that you have pushed the button, if equipped, on the transmitter that the sensor is attached to. Often it will have an LED indicating that you are pushing the button and that it is transmitting. No light = check battery.
Lastly, the receiver should have a similar LED and button. Push the button, LED should light. No light = check battery.
If all else fails, return it and get one from Nashbar or your local bike dealer. I bought mine (Sigma) for $ 25 from Nashbar, installed per instructions, and it’s been going strong for 2 years now. Other good brands are Cat-eye and Vetta
i bought a wireless bell computer about 6-8 months ago and im ashamed to say at walmart(it was really cheap) it did not work from the start. it would turn on and i could set everything to the right specs but the computer never recorded any of my tires movements. after much tinkering it never worked. my friend had another bell model and it also never worked(he bought his at a bike shop) so i would say return it and buy a different brand, i did
Mine works but when it gets past 12 mph it goes back to 0 as if it doesn’t function at all. After slowing down it comes again.
Ditto the ones above, mine would freak out at about 6 MPH
I took it back and bought one at Performance on sale. It works, but wireless computers interferes with it
Most days my max speed is 75.9 Ha!
I have never bought a bigger (smaller?) useless piece of junk in my life
Save yourself the $ 19.99 (Kmart) and 2 hours of your life tinkering with it in your driveway
Don’t buy it
